Abstract

377,005. Reheating furnaces. KAUBA, F., 7, Gõrtnergasse, Vienna. Sept. 7, 1931, No. 25125. [Class 51 (ii).] In a reheating furnace of the pit type, in which continuous operation is effected by shifting the zone of combustion, the furnace is divided into compartments by partitions 2 having openings 3 at the hearth level, and in the opposite walls of these compartments are obliquely directed inlets 4, 5 for heating gases, and outlets 8 .. 12 for the waste gases. The inlets 4, 5 are arranged so that the heating gases will be caused by the draught to change their direction immediately on entering the furnace.
