Abstract

415,290. Boiler furnaces. BELLAY, J., 98, Avenue d'Auderghem, Brussels. Nov. 23, 1933, No. 32771. Convention date, Oct. 30. [Class 51 (i).] A boiler furnace is arranged within side and central water chambers 1, 3 and comprises a fuel hopper 5 which delivers on to a water-cooled tuyere and fuel support 11 provided with one or more narrow slots 13 through which air passes by natural or forced draught into the fuel bed. The gases rising from the fuel are supplied with secondary air through passages 14 and finally pass through flues 9 in the side water chambers to an outlet flue 10. The top of the tuyere and also the side adjacent the furnace door are inclined to correspond with the natural slope of the fuel.
