Class 51(i) A grate, for a furnace fired by a fuel such as coke breeze, has hollow, triangular, water-cooled bars 10 arranged with their flat faces uppermost and spaced approximately one eighth of an inch apart, the bars extending between a pair of headers 11, 12, the header 11 forming a deadplate adjacent the furnace door.
