456,953. Electric water heaters. GAZELLE, M. S., 14831, Washburn Avenue, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Feb. 22, 1936, No. 5381. [Class 39 (iii)] In an electric water-heater including a heating element arranged in a vertical tube in a tank, the tube comprises a lower singlewalled section 11 containing the heating element 26 and an upper double walled section 15 forming an air jacket through which water passes to a valve controlled outlet 19 at the top. The valve is operated by a handle 23. Water enters the tube from the tank 1 through apertures 12 and returns to the tank through the outlet 19. The tank is insulated and provided with a cold water inlet 7 and a hot water outlet 8.
