Abstract

519,017. Electric water heaters. TAYLOR. F. G. Aug. 10, 1938, No. 23621. [Class 39 (iii)] An electric water heater comprises an insulated container 11 in which is an overflow outlet tube 28 and a heating element 19 mounted within a heat insulating sleeve 30. A controlled water inlet 25 extends into the annular space between the sleeve 30 and the container 11. A wire resistance disposed within a tube forms the element 19, and a thermostatic switch 16 is provided, the'electrical connections being housed in a hollow cover 14 which is easily removed with the attached heating resistance 19 to facilitate de-furring. The sleeve 30 floats in the water, and rests with its upper edge. against the cover.
