Abstract

257,781. Marks, E. C. R., (Walker (nÚe Honey, G. H.). Nov. 12, 1925. Heating by electricity. -In an electric water heater of the type comprising a chamber through which the water flows freely and having a removable cover carrying the heating-elements; the cover also carries a switch and rheostat. The chamber 1 is of tubular form with inlet 8 below the outlet 16 above. The cover consists of a screw at ring 12 into which is screwed an insulating plug 20, through which pass leads connected to three metal bars 25, 26, 27 connected at their lower ends by a bar 24 and forming the heating-element. The ring 12 has a wide upstanding flange 17 to which is attached a bracket 35 carrying a casing 36 containing a switch and rheostat connected to the heating- elements.
