Abstract

356,857. Heating water by electricity. BARRON, W. E., Sunset, Speldhurst, Kent. July 7, 1930, No. 20519. [Class 39 (iii).] The water passes from the inlet pipe 10 through a distributing device to a number of tubular coils 13 from which it flows into the surrounding tank. An immersion heater 14 is arranged adjacent to the distributing device and immersion heaters 16 are arranged adjacent to the outlet ends of the coils. The inlet pipe, the coils and the distributing device are made of copper. The tank is a two part structure with an outlet 11 from the upper part and, if desired, a return 19 from a circulating system is connected to the bottom part. The coils are supported and strapped together by a framework of copper strips.
