Abstract

450,347. Reciprocating pumps. BUGATTI, E., Molsheim, Bas-Rhin, France. Sept. 16, 1935, No. 25666. Convention date, Sept. 17, 1934. [Class 102 (i)] A pump plunger 1 is pivoted to a lever 7 having slots 8, 9 in which slide blocks 10, 11 carried by cranks 12, 13, the phase relationship of which is varied to alter the stroke of the pump. The cranks 12, 13 are carried on shafts 16, 17 which also carry pinions 14, 15. The pinion 14 is connected by a key 18 to a sleeve 19 connected by helical tongues and grooves to a member 21 integral with the shaft 16. The stroke is varied by moving the sleeve 19 by means of the lever 22.
