Abstract

218,378. Zwicky, J. April 3, 1923. Cam-actuated pumps; lever-actuated pumps; disconnecting actuating-mechanism.-The piston 2 is actuated by a lever 6, 10 engaging an eccentric track 12 in a driving pulley or flywheel 13 carried by the pump. The lever may be in two parts, the part 6 being attached to a sleeve 7 on a rock-shaft 9 to which the other part 10 is attached. The shaft 9 may be connected to the part 10 by means of a pin 14 and a slot, so that they may be brought into engagement by means of teeth 17, 18 relatively movable by means of a handle 19. In another form, an eccentric runs between two rollers on a lever engaging the piston rod.
