438,430. Reciprocating pumps and compressors. WHITE & CO., Ltd., J. S., East Cowes, and HOARE, A., Glenmount, Castle Road, Carisbrooke, both in Isle of Wight. May 16, 1934, No. 14750. [Classes 8 (i) and 102 (i)] In a pump for liquids or gases the piston K is mounted upon the driving shaft D and guided in the cylinder A by a pin L engaging a slot K<2>. The ends of the piston consist each of a half turn of a right and left hand helix and engage cams J<2> shaped similarly and fixed to the driving shaft D. Sleeve valves . G are secured to the cams J<2> and have ports N registering alternately with inlet and discharge ports in the casing A.
