Abstract
448,801. Fastenings for attache cases &c. CHENEY, C. W., Factory Road, Soho, Birmingham. Dec. 15, 1934, No. 36019. [Class 44] In a fastening of the kind comprising two co-operating parts 1, 2 having peg and hole engagement 16, 17, the part 1 being secured to the end of the case, and the part 2 to the body, the part 2 carries a pivotal arm 6 adapted to engage a projection 13 on the part 1. A pommel 8 on the pivot 5 of the arm 6 is engaged by a spring 7 to hold the arm in position. The arm may be locked by a bolt 10 adapted to be moved by a key into engagement with the pommel 8. In another form, the arm 6 carries a spring pin which drops into a recess in the projection 13 when the arm is in the fastening position.
