Hasp fastenings; stud-and-socket fastenings.- In a fastening for an attachÚ case or the like, the hasp a is provided with a stud c which has a groove d, and is held in the closed position by the engagement of the jaws h of two arms, pivoted at r in the groove d, the arms being pressed together at h by the spring g. The stud is released by opening the jaws h against the action of the spring g, by pressing the fingerpieces i towards each other. The fastener may be provided with a key-operated lock so that when the bolt is in the locking position it fits between the rounded parts s of the arms, and prevents the operation of the finger-pieces i.
