Abstract

148,717. Dixon, F. R. Dec. 5, 1919. Portable fasteners.-A portable fastener for drawers &c. comprises a strip a, having projections b, c, one of which engages with the bar above the drawer-way or with the bolt-hole, and a series of holes d, near the other end, adapted to be engaged by a padlock e, after the strip a has been inserted through the slot g in the plate f. In a modification, Figs. 5 and 7, a sliding part is employed instead of the projections b, c. The strip a passes through a slot m in the spring plate l and has engaging its upper surface the plate n, provided with a stud p, adapted to engage one of the holes o in the strip, in which it is maintained by the lower end of the plate l.
