Abstract

445,476. Walls, floors, and roofs. NEWCOMB, R. K., 23, Powell Street, and ADAMSON, A., 9, Cambridge Street, both in West Hartlepool. Oct. 9, 1934, No. 28922. [Classes 20 (ii) and 20 (iv)] Walls, floors, partitions, roofs, &c. are built of girders engaged by surface plates, the girders comprising two members a grooved at c near one or both edges and joined face to face by riveting or spot welding &c. along a line h located between the grooves and opposite edges. The metal surface plates n are provided with flanges k which are ribbed at m to engage in the grooves c of the girders. Sheets of insulating material, or other wall covering, may be applied to the surface plates. The surface plates may be supported intermediately of the girders a by beams of ordinary construction.
