Abstract

387,225. Walls ; ceilings. OLSEN, A. C., 133, Marcellus Road, Mineola, Long Island, New York, U.S.A. June 22, 1932, No. 17659. [Class 20 (iv).] In building up walls and ceilings of panels of wall board or other sheet material strips 1 of sheet metal or the like are employed, said strips having the section shown in Fig. 2. The strips have a box-shaped main part 2, a neck part 6, and terminal-shaped flanges 7. The flanges anchor the sheet material 20 shown in Fig. 1, the strips being supported, as shown, by hangers 10 provided with suitably-shaped heads 12. In Fig. 4 is shown a section capable of "nesting-in" with' the section shown in Fig. 2 and with the parts 2 on opposite sides of the sheet material. In making hollow walls, connecting ties are used having T-shaped heads at both ends. By employing a connecting tie 10b of the form shown in Fig. 8, a ceiling may be mounted on a girder 16b.
