436,415. Walls; ceilings. JACKSON, L. MELLERSH-, 28, Southampton Buildings, Chancery Lane, London.-(Gypsum, Lime, & Alabastine, Canada, Ltd.; Paris, Ontario, Canada) Sept. 22, 1934, No. 27296. [Class 20 (iv)] A wall or ceiling comprises wallboards which are secured directly to the studs or joists by means of an adhesive, such as casein glue. The meeting edges of adjacent boards are arranged to overlap a stud or joist and are secured thereto by adhesive. The face of the stud or joist may be first coated with the adhesive, and the marginal edges of the boards then secured by nails which hold the boards in contact with the stud or joist until the adhesive has set. The boards may be also secured by adhesive to studs or joists intermediate the ends. The joints may be sealed by a suitable filler, such as fine-grained mortar.
