Abstract

546,105. Walls. CLARKE, T. F. W. July 2, 1941, No. 8320. [Class 20 (iv)] Wall-building units consist of inner and outer sheets 2 connected by internal metal ties 3 and filled with concrete or the like. The sheets 2 may be of metal, asbestos-cement, plastic material, corkboard, fibreboard, plywood, or glass. Metal mesh, expanded metal, sheet metal or wire may be used for the ties, connection being effected by welding, riveting, embedding, fusing, cementing, screwing, stitching or stapling. The sheet-edges are ridged or grooved to interengage, and the ties are formed with slotted projections to engage those of adjoining units.
