Abstract

444,958. Electric incandescent lamp caps. SHIMADA, K., and SHIRAFUJI, S., c /o Tokyo Raito Shokai, 2, Mita Shikoku Machi, Shiba Ku, Tokyo. Sept. 22, 1934, No. 27300. [Class 39 (ii)] The cap 7 of an electric incandescent lamp is provided with a circular terminal plate 1 which is insulated from the screw-threaded metal shell of the cap and formed with a central recess 2 pierced by a small hole through which the end 4 of one leading-in wire is passed and electrically welded within the recess in such manner that neither the end of the wire nor the weld project beyond the surface of the plate, thereby ensuring a constant distance between the contact face of the cap and the filament. The recess 2 may be circular or elongated.
