Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, June 13, 1935]. [Class 80 (ii)] [See also Group XXVII] A damped spring-coupling device for use with engines and particularly for internalcombustion engines comprises one or more spring rings 6, the ends of which engage with radial projections 9, 10 on the driving and driven shafts respectively to effect the drive. The rings 6 are housed in the bore of a crankshaft 2 having an internal key-like projection 9 and transmit the drive to an eccentric shaped member 12 having a corresponding key-like projection 10 which transmit the drive through a toothed coupling 13 to a driven shaft 5. The shaft 5 may drive the engine magneto or a supercharger through suitable gearing as shown, and the valve gear by means of the gearing 3 and shaft 4.
