431,700. Pipe couplings. STAINES, A. R., and KINNELL & CO., Ltd., C. P., 65, Southwark Street, London. Jan. 15, 1934, No. 1405. [Class 99 (i)] A pipe coupling comprises sleeve-like coupling members A, B secured on the ends of the pipes, the socket member A having at its end recesses 5 which coincide with gaps in a flange 4 and receive lugs 6 on the spigot B. Internal projections 11 of a coupling sleeve C pass over the lugs 6 and through the gaps in the flange 4 an internal flange 12 on the sleeve C pressing the spigot on to a gasket 9 on rotation of the sleeve and inter-engagement of inclined surfaces 13, 14.
