Abstract

508,735. Pipe couplings. LEECH, H.C.. and HARRIS. G. W. April 6, 1938, No. 10479. [Class 99 (i)] Spring-urged locking members b mounted in recesses in a, spigot a have a chamfered edge b<3> so that in coupling the members are depressed by the end of a socket f and then spring outwardly into a groove f<1> of the socket. Levers e limit the outward movement of the members and are actuated to release them from engage-, ment with the socket. A gasket h secured in the socket enters a groove g in the spigot.
