[Class 99 (i).] A coupling member a has curved, flexible extremities d<1> which are compressed on to the pipes by the nuts g and force the ends of the pipes into contact with bevelled shoulders c on the coupling member. In a modification, the pipe ends are forced on to the shoulders by screwing the pipes into the coupling member.
