Abstract
300,037. Brighouse, J. Den. 20, 1927. Shaft couplings.-A coupling for broken shafts &c. comprises a split externally-tapered tube 1 the parts of which are adapted to surround the ends of the shaft &c. and to be clamped thereon by an internally-tapered external sleeve 3. The split tube is provided with keys 4, Fig. 2, adapted to engage with keyways 5 on the ends of the shaft.
