429,290. Endless - chain conveyers. ROSE, A. G., and ROSE BROS. (GAINSBOROUGH), Ltd.,Albion Works, Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. Dec. 18, 1933, No. 35520. [Class 78 (i)] [See also Group XVII] Relates to packing-apparatus in which a succession of articles, such as groups of cigarettes, are fed by a chain conveyer and delivered to a support, from which they are transferred into a receiving device temporarily in register with the support. The articles 10 are fed along a track 11 by a chain conveyer 12 having pushers 19 adapted to be rocked out of engagement by a spring 21 as soon as the article has arrived on the support 20. A pocket 22 on a chain 23 is temporarily in alignment with the support, and the article is transferred into it by a pusher 35 on an inverted U-shaped member 34 sliding on a rail 24. The rail is pivoted at 25 and the parts 24, 34 are moved by cams and links so that the pusher 35 makes a movement to the right to deliver the article from the support to the pocket and returns to the position shown.
