Abstract

327,172. Dearsley, G., and Molins Machine Co., Ltd. Dec. 27, 1928. Packeting by wrapping- up.-In a packing-machine, the articles 1 are fed from a vertical stack in a magazine 2 by a pair of camshaped members 6, one of which is shown. The members are shaped so that the lowermost article is fed along the table 3 at an accelerating speed to the position shown, at this point a pusher piece 4 on an endless chain 5 engages the packet at its greatest speed and moves it away. The pusher pieces pass between the cone-shaped pieces, and the portion 7 acts as a gradually descending support for the stack until one of the leading edges again commences a feeding stroke. The spindle of the member 6 may be disposed beneath the front edge of the magazine so that the removal is completely effected by this member.
