Abstract

299,887. I. G. Farbenindustrie Akt.-Ges. Nov. 3, 1927, [Convention date]. Packeting tablets, pills, &c. in receptacles.- Relates to a process of and apparatus for packeting tablets, pills, ampoules, capsules, packages, and other solid bodies into receptacles. The articles pass from a hopper 1 beneath a rotating brush 2 to an inclined shoot 3. The articles may slide or roll down the shoot, and, if necessary, may be turned into a horizontal position as shown before arriving above an endless band 4, which forwards them against a stop 5a or 5b. according to the formation required. Adjustable lateral walls 6 may assist in the action. A suction device, comprising a hollow head 7 with a perforated sunk base 9 now descends and picks up the articles for transference to the receptacle, the working and stopping of the suction being actuated at the appropriate times by hand or mechanica means.
