Packeting by wrapping-up. - Machinas for wrapping cigarette cartons, blocks and the like in paper, metal foil &c., are provided with means for superimposing a card &c. on each carton as or before the latter is advanced. past the wrapper feeding station. In a machine to which the invention is applicable, the cartons 8 are fed from the base of a magazine 9 by pushers 5 on endless chains 7 along a table 10 so as to engage a wrapper 14 to be folded about the top and bottom of the carton by edges 17, 18. According to the invention, a card 22 is fed from a sloping shoot 20 by a pusher arm 23 at about the time when the leading end of the carton arrives at the wrapper feeding station. The card is delivered by hand or automatically on to the shoot 20, which is slotted at 30 to accommodate the pusher, 23.
