Abstract

1,183,475. Endless conveyers; discharging packages. SCHWEIZERISCHE INDUSTRIEGESELLSCHAFT. 21 March, 1967 [22 March, 1966], No. 13165/67. Headings B8A and B8S. Articles 2 continuously fed down an inclined shoot 1 are intermittently halted by a stop element 3 controlled to release the articles therefrom in groups of equal number for engagement with an abutment 6 of an endless chain 4. The articles are thereby controlled as they slide from the shoot on to a stationary conveyer surface 8 and are cleared from the shoot by a further abutment 7 on the chain 4 which engages the rear of the group to push the articles on to said conveyer surface 8. Pushers 10 attached to an endless chain 9 move over the surface 8 to convey the groups of articles at uniform distances apart. The stop element 3, the endless chain 4 and the endless chain 9 are synchronized.
