Abstract

426,713. Spray producers. ROTOPLUNGE PUMP CO., Ltd., 58, Victoria Street, London, and WALKER, C. B., 38, South Bar, Banbury, Oxfordshire. Sept. 30, 1933, No. 26937. [Class 69 (iii)] A nozzle for delivering at will either a straight jet or whirling spray comprises a plain conical nozzle c within which is mounted an axially adjustable whirl-forming member d. The nozzle c is mounted within a member a provided with a conical recess c<3> and hand grips a<1> and is extended to form a tubular member c<1> carrying a nut a<1> in which the threaded part of the member d screws. The whirl member d comprises a helically grooved head mounted on a liquid supply tube d<5> and is provided with ports d<4>. The tube d is carried by a rubber handle b having a part b<1> projecting into the tube c<1> and serving as a fluid-tight packing to prevent leakage. In the position shown a whirling spray is delivered but on screwing the member d back a straight jet is delivered through the nozzle c.
