Abstract

403,110. Spraying-apparatus. HOGG, T., 58A, Dean Street, Shaftesbury Avenue, London. April 1, 1932, No. 9403. [Class 69 (iii).] Apparatus for spraying liquids of high specific gravity such as liquid wax or other polish comprises means such as a pump 29, Fig. 2, delivering the liquid from a receptacle 30 to a nozzle 11. The nozzle comprises a body 18 on which is screwed a head 31, Fig. 1, having an outlet 15 leading to a chamber 2 having an outlet 11 of elongated form and of V-shape in section the wide end being towards the supply. The outlet 15 may be closed by a hollow needle valve 1 and may be of various shapes, e.g. circular or triangular. The outlet 11 is regulated by a valve 5 sliding within the needle 1 and operated by a handle 21. An electric heater may be mounted around the pipe 22 and a relief valve 28 provided to return liquid not sprayed to the receptacle 30.
