Abstract
184,320. Kendall, J. J. June 14,1921. Disinfectant liquids, delivering. - Relates to apparatus for spraying and diffusing liquids such as disinfectants, deodorants, &c. of the kind in which the pressure of a domestic water supply is used to act upon a body of air within a reservoir containing the insecticide in order to force the latter into the water flowing through a hose pipe, such as that described in Specification 167,900. The mixture ratio is determined by varying either the quantity of water supplied to the mixing chamber or the quantity of air passing between the container for water and that for the insecticide. Water is delivered from the main supply through a valve b. Fig. 1, to a reservoir a and thence through a pipe e to the mixing chamber h. The ratio of insecticide to water may be varied either by means of a valve n .in the pipe e or by means of a valve r in the, air pipe d. The valve is provided with a graduated operating disc o and index p. The mixing chamber h, Fig. 2, is provided with a constriction q at its entrance immediately in front of the duct k and the reservoir c is mounted below the mixing chamber.
