Disinfectant liquids, delivering.-In apparatus for spraying or diffusing deodorants, &c., of the type comprising reservoirs for the liquid and for water, a mixing-chamber is fitted and has means for regulating the proportions of the mixture of liquid and water. Fig. 1 shows a cylindrical vessel, the upper portion of which forms a reservoir 2 for the deodorant. The lower portion forms an air compressor, the water from a house service pipe being led through the tap 6 to the reservoir 1 and compressing the air in the upper part of it. A pipe 4 equalizes the pressure in the reservoirs, and pipes 16, 10, conduct the liquids to a mixing-chamber 11; the deodorant passes through a needle valve, and the water rises direct into the mixing-chamber, whence the mixture flows through a pipe 14 to a rose &c. Discharge plugs 22, 24, a filling-plug 25, an air inlet 23 with a non-return valve, and a dropdown handle 3 are fitted. In a modification, the reservoirs 1, 2 are side by side, and the needle valve is replaced bv a plate 70, Fig. 9, with a central aperture of predetermined size through which, or a ring of such apertures of graduated sizes through one of which, the insecticide passes to the mixing-chamber. This plate 70 may be replaced by a readily rotary plate with a ring of graduated apertures, each of which may be brought round to the centre of the pipe 47, and in another modification it may be replaced by one of a series of nipples of various sizes.
