Abstract

431,706. Garden and crop sprayers. LENNOX, F. W., Weatherall Road, Cheltenham, Victoria, Australia. Jan. 15, 1934, No. 1440. [Class 6 (ii)] [See also Group XXVIII] Apparatus for spraying fertilizers, insecticides, &c., of the kind in which the chemical is introduced into a stream of water comprises an externally conical nozzle 6 for the water, a casing 2 having a constricted throat immediately in front of the nozzle 6 and leading to a mixing chamber 12 of larger cross section, a branch pipe 16 through which the chemical is supplied communicating with the casing to the rear of the nozzle orifice and a sprayer 22 mounted in the front end of the mixing chamber. The branch 16 is connected to a supply tank by a tube 24 and is provided with a regulating cock 20. The apparatus may also be used for watering purposes in which case the water is aerated in the chamber 12.
