Abstract

414,860. Spray-producers. ROGERS, D. M., and MASTERMAN, A. T., 10, Brewery Road, Holloway, London. May 12, 1933, No. 13897. [Class 69 (iii).] Atomizers for spraying liquid into a room or other space of the kind having air or gas nozzles discharging over the top of tubes immersed in the liquid have the nozzles and liquid tubes carried by the cover 3, Fig. 1, of a liquid receptacle 1 which also supports a cup 17 against which atomized liquid impinges. The cover 3 is provided with central external and internal bosses 5, 4 having a continuous bore 6 near the upper end of which is a closure block 7 bored to communicate with an air supply 9 and outlet pipe 10. The outlet pipe has secured to it a head 12, Figs. 1 and 3, furnished with fine outlets 11 opening immediately above equally spaced holes in which fit vertical tubes 14 secured at their lower ends in equally spaced holes in a ring 13, the position of the head on the tube 10 being adjusted by a stud 15. Liquid aspirated and atomized by the jets 11 impinges on the cup 17 and such as is not dispersed is returned to the vessel 1 by grooves (not shown) formed in the block 7.
