Abstract

482,843. Spray-producers. FRANCK & CO. (LONDON), Ltd., M., and FRANCK, M. Nov. 25, 1936, No. 32320. [Class 69 (iii)] A stopper for a sprinkler bottle of the kind containing a valve for controlling the outlet from the container having an air passage connected at one end to a source of air pressure and at the other end communicating with a nozzle, and which is adapted to be placed in communication with a delivery pipe carried by the stopper for insertion in the container is so constructed that the liquid is ejected solely by the suction of the air flowing through the air passage through the valve. The stopper 13 carrying a dip tube 16 communicating with a passage 14 has a bore at right-angles to its axis in which fits a cock 17 provided with an air passage 18 connected by a passage 21 with an air bulb and enlarged at 19 to form an atomizing chamber leading to a nozzle 20. The cock is provided with a passage 25 communicating with the chamber 19 and in the operative position registering with the passage 14. The tube 21 to which the air bulb is connected may serve as a handle for turning the cock, stops being provided to limit its movement and the weight of the bulb acting to turn the cock into its inoperative position. In addition to the passage 14 the stopper is provided with a vent 28 communicating with a recess 27 in the cock in the operative position and closed in the inoperative position.
