Abstract

475,751. Nozzles. BLAKE, J. B. July 25, 1936, No. 20624. [Class 69 (iii)] A nozzle for giving either a jet, a combined jet and spray or a diffused spray comprises a cylindrical body A having a bore C eccentrically disposed therein leading to a restricted opening a in a nipple a<1>, and a cylindrical cap B screwing on the body A provided with an outlet b eccentrically disposed to its axis at a distance therefrom equal to the distance of the passage C from the axis of the body A. The character of the discharge is varied by turning the cap B on the body A, its movement being limited by a shoulder engaging a grub screw G. The body A may be provided with a serrated extension D coaxial with the passage C for engaging a hose E against which it is gripped by a sleeve H screwing on the body A.
