Abstract

460,331. Spray producers. WATTS, R. J., and WATTS, J. T. Nov. 29, 1935, No. 33105. [Class 69 (iii)] A regulable spray nozzle comprises an outer tubular member a provided with a central outlet b, and having a conical valve seating b<1> connected by a cylindrical extension c to an annular chamber d. A hollow stem provided with ports e<1> and e terminated by a closed conical valve e<2> screws into the member a. In the closed position the valve e<2> engages the seating b<1> but when opened liquid is led to the passage b through helical grooves e<3> formed either on the stem e or on the cylindrical extension c. Removal of the stem e is prevented by a split ring f abutting against a washer g held in place by a. screw cap h.
