Abstract
360,104. Nozzles. SCHOENI, G., 27, Vogelsangstrasse, Biel, Switzerland. Sept. 3, 1930, No. 26290. [Class 69 (iii).] An adjustable nozzle for spraying liquids comprises a metal sleeve 1 in which is inserted a rubber bush 4 for connection to a supply pipe 8, the bush pressing against the spherical head 3 of a nozzle fitment to hold it in an angularly adjustable position. A strainer may be mounted within the coupling. In a modification the metal sleeve is provided with a union nut which clamps the ball against the rubber bushing; and in a further modification the upper part of the sleeve is itself formed as a union nut. The upper part of the ball may be recessed or formed with a series of holes to break up the liquid jet or a diffusing member 7, may be mounted within the tubular part 5 of the nozzle.
