V., James Street West, Bath, and HEATLY-GRESHAM ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., Salford, Lancashire. Jan. 19, 1934, No. 1870. [Class 110 (ii)] In a pump or engine of the feathering vane type, a tapered abutment d extends from each end a, b of a casing, into ar annular chamber e. Vanes t, t<1> are carried round by a rotor f blocking the chamber e except when turned to pass over the abutments through the actior of links y, y<1>, which are pivotec to further links connected with the vanes t, t<1>. Links y, y<1> slide around a fixed eccentric shaft ; whose outer end is journalled in the rotor f. In the case of a pump, delivery of fluid only take place when a port r is in com munication with an outlet s Inlet u is provided in a side face Lubricant is supplied by a pump n<1> driven from the main shaft by means of a sprocket wheel o. The interior of the casing is maintained at atmospheric pressure by the provision of breathers w fitted with oil interceptors. In a modification the two vanes t, t<1> are made integral and actuated by a single link y. Specifications 341,013 and 411,465 are referred to.
