Abstract
444,160. Rotary engines. JOHNSON, J. P., 3015, East 61st Street, Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. Aug. 17, 1935, No. 23196. [Class 110 (ii)] A rotary engine or pump comprises a casing bore 93 and an eccentric rotor 103 integral with its shaft 100. Sliding vanes 107 bear at their outer ends on a liner 115, and at their inner ends on a loose roller 108, contained within a bore in the rotor. Recesses in the liner communicate with inlet and outlet ducts 116, 117, respectively. The shaft has cork packing 110 and an external chamber 113 to collect leakage fluid.
