424,249. Rotary pumps. BIRKIGT, M., Rue du Capitaine Guynemer, Bois-Colombes, Seine, France. May 12, 1933, No. 13884. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 19, 1934]. [Class 110 (ii)] A rotary pump for supplying lubricating - oil to an engine delivers the oil in the same direction regardless of the rotation of the pump being clockwise or anti-clockwise. The vanes b press against the bore of an eccentric sleeve d having ports e<1>, e<2>, for inlet or outlet of the oil. Upon reversal of the pump rotor a the sleeve d is turned frictionally through 180‹, so that the port e<1> becomes the inlet and e<2> the delivery. The sleeve d has a groove extending through 180‹, the ends of which provide abutments for a screw or peg inserted in the outer casing f.
