Abstract
363,471. Lubricating rotary compressers. STIERLI, G., 125, Eichholzstrasse. Wabern, near Berne, Switzerland. Nov. 7, 1930, No. 33583. Convention date, Nov. 19, 1929. [Class 12 (iii).] In a rotary compresser of the kind comprising a cylindrical casing c enclosing an eccentrically mounted rotor A which drives, through the sliding - rocking vanes F, a sleeve B having apertures to register, at appropriate intervals during its rotation, with the inlet and outlet ports in the casing, theoutlet port L is formed as a collecting chamber for lubricants carried out by the expelled fluid and a wick J is provided to return the collected lubricant to the outer surface of the sleeve B, A portion of the lubricant thus returned enters the inlet port and is carried by the entering fluid to the interior of the sleeve, where it serves to lubricate the vanes F and their rocking guides E.
