P., 7, Putney Park Avenne, London, (Representatives of BLUEMEL, F. H.). Feb. 23, 1933, No. 4980/34. Divided out of 415,144. [Class 39 (ii).] An electric battery lamp is provided with a battery carrier 10 which is removably mounted within a cylindrical casing 23 and is provided at one end with a socket for a lamp bulb, the other end being provided with a switch which is operable from the exterior of the casing. The battery carrier consists of a U-shaped stripmetal frame with a metal cup 15 secured at its bottom end by a rivet 14. An annular rubber pad 16 mounted within the cup 15 supports a metal disc 21 which contacts with the bottom terminal of the battery 17, while a screw 19 operated by an external head 22 is mounted within screw-threads in the rivets 14 so that it can be moved inwardly to complete the circuit between the disc 21 and frame 10. The screw 19 passes loosely through a cap 29 which is screwed upon the bottom end of the casing 23 to enable the battery carrier and its associated parts to be removed from the casing. As shown, the battery carrier is adapted for use in a lamp provided with a lens 25 and reflector 26 as described in Specification 415,144.
