Mounting electric lamps in lanterns.-In an aircraft lamp, an electric lamp bulb holder is slidably mounted in a split ball 12, which is adjustable in a semicircular socket 13, the holder and ball being clamped in an adjusted position by means of a ring 14, which surrounds the ball and is adjusted by a nut 15 on a screwed stem 14<1>. A fixed pin 13<1> engages a hole in the ball so as to limit its movements.
