189,456. Quarzlampen-Ges. Nov. 21, 1921, [Convention date]. Lamps for concentrating light on a definite spot near the lamp.-A lamp for therapeutical purposes consists of a parabolic reflector 3 to which is attached by struts 8 a funnel-shaped reflector 4 with protecting ring 4<1>. The reflector 3 is mounted in a supporting ring 12 jointed to the carrier arm and carrying a guide 13 within which the socket of a lamp 6 can be axially adjusted by screw and nut means to put the lamp out of focus. To the outer end of the reflector 4 may be interchangeably attached an extension reflector 5 fitted with a heat insulating ventilated guard ring 11. A colour filter may be attached comprising an inner sheet metal ring 20 with vent holes 22, and an outer conical ring 19 with strips of coloured glass 21 between the two rings.
