Abstract

413,958. Paper cartons. FALLOWS, L. F., 133, Oakridge Avenue, Nutley, New Jersey, U.S.A. Dec. 14, 1933, No. 35196. Convention date, Sept. 23. [Class 66.] In a carton of the kind described in Specification 413,873, the weakening lines terminate at points 1<A>, 2A, Fig. 4, short of the outer edge 7 of the blank and cuts 8, 9 are formed leading from these points to the edge affording flaps 11, 12 which are left unattached to the inner layer and which serve to engage and anchor the tearing tab for reclosure after partial opening to provide a pouring outlet 14, Fig. 2. The wider part of the strip 10 may be attached at 15 by adhesion to the inner layer of the body to check the tearing at this point with a view to determining the width of the pouring outlet. Specification 390,700 also is referred to.
