Abstract
402,912. Cartons. DALLER CARTON CO., Inc., 405, Lexington Avenue, New York, U.S.A. Sept. 27, 1932, No. 26834. Convention date, March 12. [Classes 18 and 66.] A carton having one or more walls provided with score lines or perforations to facilitate the opening thereof has one wall 16 provided with a flap 17 which underlies, at least in part, when the carton is made up, the adjacent wall 13 which is provided with the score line 19 dividing it into two portions of which the portion 20 adjacent the wall 16 is secured to the flap 17 so that, when the carton is opened along the line 19, the wall 16 with its flap 17 and the attached portion 20 of the wall 13 forms a hinged lid which can be swung upwardly for access to the contents of the carton and can be subsequently reclosed. The wall 16 may be secured to one or both of the tabs 12 projecting from the end walls 11 and is then provided with additional score lines 19<1> giving a lid less in length than the length of the carton. As shown the wall 13 has an extension 23 which overlies and is secured to the wall 16 and in this case the line 19 may be positioned along or in proximity to the fold line between the wall 13 and the extension and the flap 17 left loose or only lightly secured to the section 13.
