Abstract

413,581. Cartons. GILL, H. A., 51, Chancery Lane, London.-(Daller Carton Co., Inc.; 342, Madison Avenue, New York, U.S.A.) Jan. 16, 1934, No. 1615. [Classes 18 and 66.] A carton is provided with a movable section 17 having a tucking flap 18 detachably secured to the section against which it lies when the carton is closed and an inner lining 23 having a portion which is adjacent said movable section when the carton is closed and of which at least a part is adapted to be readily severed from the lining after the movable section has been opened. As shown a section A, which originally formed part of the front wall 14 of the carton and which was secured by adhesive to the flap 18, has been torn from the said wall along a scored line 22 and raised with the flap, and part of the lining has been torn out along a scored line 24 ; this lining part may be secured by adhesive to the inside of the flap. The flap and tabs 16 co-operate in restraining cigarettes ejected from the opened carton.
