Abstract
413,546. Wrapping-machines; feeding webs. LOESCH, M., 130, Zwickauer Strasse, Dresden, Germany. Nov. 10, 1933, No. 31374. [Class 94 (i).] In a machine for wrapping chocolate creams, bon bons, and the like, the wrapper is rotated about its centre before being conveyed to the wrapping mechanism. The web 4, from which the wrappers are to be cut by knives 5, 6, is fed over a guide 7 and table 3 by a contact member 13 with a rubber point 14, pivoted at 12 on a lever system 9, 10 adjustably oscillated by a draw-bar 11. The vertical movement of the member 13 is controlled by a bell-crank lever 15 and links 16, 17. After being severed, the wrapper 4<a> falls upon a rotary suction member 20 which is turned through the requisite angle by a lever 25 to rotate the wrapper from the first position shown in Fig. 2 to that shown in full lines. Grippers 27 now seize the wrapper in its oblique position and position it upon the article 28 to be wrapped. Labels may be placed on the wrapper and turned into position with it.
