[Class 76.] Hides and skins are delimed by treatment with citrates or tartrates or vegetable juices containing citric or tartaric acid (e.g. lemon, orange &c. juices), to which alkalis (sodium, potassium and ammonium hydrates have been added. Soluble sulphates or bisulphates may be added to the treating solutions.
